WHO WE ARE, WHAT WE DO
Williams Parker exists to help our clients implement their vision for their businesses and their families. Our clients are primarily developers, entrepreneurs, governmental entities, healthcare providers, and families of means. They appreciate our attentiveness, discretion, and judgment. For more than 90 years, Williams Parker has quietly and capably safeguarded the interests of individuals, business owners, real estate and medical professionals, and other Southwest Florida clients with complex business, estate planning, employment, real estate, litigation, and tax concerns.
We practice in the legal disciplines that align with our client base. In those disciplines, we have built national-caliber capabilities. To meet our clients’ needs over time, we have expanded our ranks. We choose to practice from a single office to create operating efficiencies for our clients and to permit us to maintain our hallmark collegiality.
Williams Parker was founded in 1925. Our attorneys and staff include native Floridians as well as “transplants.” Every one of us lives and works here because the quality of life in our region is second to none. We are hardworking, fair-minded, and community-centered attorneys who are distinctive in our support of and collaboration with one another.
At Williams Parker, we believe that the talent and passion of our attorneys and staff will lead us to greater success. Our environment fosters the growth and development of our lawyers and employees. From your first day throughout your career you will be provided with learning opportunities to further enhance your skills. Our policy is to hire qualified candidates for attorney and administrative positions based on experience level, educational background, and anticipated job performance. We offer competitive salaries and excellent benefit packages.
We recruit carefully, which means we enjoy low turnover among our employees. An unusually large percentage of our attorneys have advanced degrees in law (LL.M), accounting (Master’s or CPA), or business (MBA). Our technical legal skills match our clients’ demands for solutions to a wide range of complex legal challenges here and abroad.
Our clients’ legal challenges often involve matters in other states or countries. We regularly work with attorneys in an international network of similarly situated law firms, known as Ally Law (formerly the International Alliance of Law Firms), to help our clients secure the legal support they need wherever they need it. This network of corporate and tax attorneys operates globally and provides our clients with a practical way to access global markets and foreign counsel.
Sarasota has a rich tradition of strong civic organizations and community engagement, especially regarding community foundations and arts, cultural, and human services organizations. We are proud of the central roles played by our attorneys and staff forging some of the area’s most enduring and iconic institutions and leading organizations and initiatives responsible for the area’s good fortune and character. Our volunteerism generates long-term prosperity for the area. We are proud to call Sarasota home.
