Shareholder Elected Honorary Member of Inn of Court

Charles D. (Dan) Bailey, Jr., was recently elected as an Honorary Member of the Judge John M. Scheb American Inn of Court. Mr. Bailey will be introduced at the Inn’s 25th Anniversary Gala, on May 10, 2016 in Sarasota, Fla. The Inn works to promote excellence in legal advocacy, foster greater understanding of the system of American law, provide significant educational experiences that improve and enhance the skills of lawyers and judges, help the development of law students, promote collegiality, and carry ethical values from one generation to another. Over its 25-year period, the Inn had previously elected only seven Honorary Members, including Williams Parker shareholders George A. Dietz and William T. Harrison, Jr.

Mr. Bailey serves as counsel for the airport authority and is a land use and local government attorney. He counsels private and public entities, including non-profit organizations, regarding land use planning and zoning in Sarasota County, including: handling site plans; variances; administrative appeals; special exceptions and conditional uses; rezonings; zoning text amendments; street vacations; comprehensive plan amendments; development agreements; and developments of regional impact.
