Williams Parker Attorney Bonnie Lee Polk Honored by Sarasota County Bar Association

Bonnie Lee Polk, an attorney with Williams Parker, was recently honored by the Sarasota County Bar Association (SCBA) with its C.L. McKaig Award. This award, named after the first president of the SCBA in 1934, recognizes extraordinary service to the SCBA by one of its members in promoting the association’s goals, programs, or functions. Ms. Polk was recognized for “her extraordinary service to the SCBA by ensuring the future greatness of our judiciary through her work on the Judicial Nominating Commission, by instilling the importance of mentorship and professionalism as president of the Judge John M. Scheb American Inn of Court, and the countless hours providing advice and counsel to the new members of the SCBA.” She was presented the award at the association’s annual dinner on September 28 at the Sarasota Yacht Club.

Ms. Polk is a litigation attorney. She focuses on clients involved in probate and trust disputes, representing trustees, personal representatives, beneficiaries, and interested third parties in trust proceedings, will contests, and other fiduciary litigation. She also represents clients involved in corporate and real estate disputes.

Ms. Polk is a board member of Cenacle Legal Services, Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides pro bono legal services to low-income members of the local community. She is a member and past chair of the Twelfth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, and she currently serves as president of the Judge John M. Scheb American Inn of Court.
