Williams Parker Elects Two New Shareholders

Williams Parker is pleased to announce that attorneys Zachary B. Buffington and Douglas J. Elmore have been elected shareholders of the firm.

Mr. Buffington practices business law. He represents business owners and executives in connection with acquisitions, sales, mergers, joint ventures, investments, corporate governance, and operational matters. Mr. Buffington also advises various businesses in the healthcare industry, including healthcare systems, physician groups, a purchasing cooperative, and a regional supply chain management organization. In addition to other community work and involvement, he serves as general counsel to the Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County. Mr. Buffington earned his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law, his M.B.A. from Stetson University, and his B.S. from Susquehanna University.

Mr. Elmore is a trusts and estates attorney. He counsels individuals, families, and institutions in estate planning, business succession, and estate and trust planning and administration matters. Mr. Elmore designs multi-purpose testamentary trusts; prepares customized beneficiary designations; creates irrevocable trusts to achieve tax, family, charitable, and legacy-oriented goals; prepares federal estate tax returns (Form 706); administers trusts and estates that hold business interests; and implements sophisticated, post-mortem planning techniques. He earned his LL.M. in Taxation, J.D., M.Acc., and B.A. in accounting from the University of Florida.
