Williams Parker Expands Healthcare Practice with Addition of Dr. Steven D. Brownlee

Williams Parker is pleased to announce Dr. Steven D. Brownlee has joined the firm’s expanding healthcare practice. Dr. Brownlee has several years of experience assisting healthcare providers throughout Florida with their operational and regulatory matters.

Moore, head of Williams Parker’s healthcare practice and one of the area’s only board certified health law specialists. “His extensive experience as a physician and medical management consultant provides him a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, bolstering our capabilities and making him an asset to our clients.”

Encompassing health law, financing, real estate, litigation, labor and employment, regulation, licensure, and compliance, Williams Parker’s healthcare group assists physician groups, senior living facilities, specialty healthcare providers, healthcare facilities, healthcare infrastructure companies, and medical information and technology companies.

Dr. Brownlee regularly assists clients in professional licensing, compliance planning, Medicare/Medicaid issues and appeals, DEA issues, and provider contracting. He also practices administrative law and appears before the Division of Administrative Hearings (DOAH) and various State Boards, including Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, Real Estate, Veterinary Medicine, Chiropractic Medicine, Dentistry, and Pari-Mutuel Wagering.

Dr. Brownlee received his undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University and attended medical school at Temple University. He completed an internal medicine internship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Mercy Hospital and later decided to pursue his interest in healthcare policy and administration, obtaining a MBA from Carnegie Mellon University. He earned his JD from Stetson University College of Law. Additionally, he holds a certification in Health Care Compliance from the Health Care Compliance Association.
