Williams Parker Elects New President
Williams Parker is pleased to announce the election of Michael J. Wilson as firm president. Mr. Wilson, a member of the management committee since 2009, replaces Ric Gregoria who held the position for six years. This transition, with other changes in the firm’s management, is part of its long-term succession plan.
Mr. Gregoria will focus on his trusts and estates practice, counseling high net worth individuals, families, and business owners with intergenerational wealth transfers and business succession matters. While he enjoyed his two terms as president, he chose to make way for a new leader. “We met most of the goals we had set and I knew it was the perfect time for a transition,” Mr. Gregoria said. “This will allow me to return to what I love, serving clients and the community. Mike will take the firm to the next level. He has long been one of the area’s most respected corporate and tax attorneys and remains passionate about serving the community.”
Mr. Wilson will continue with his full-time law practice. A business and tax lawyer for more than 20 years, he plans to build upon the record of excellence the firm has established throughout it’s almost 100 year history. “The practice of law requires long hours and it’s better and a lot more fun when you do it with people you like,” Mr. Wilson said. “We don’t see ourselves as a collection of individualist lawyers but rather a cohesive unit all pulling our oars in the same direction.”
Founded in 1925, Williams Parker has long been favored by exceptional leadership. Founder, John (J.J.) Williams Jr., stressed the importance of commitment to clients, service to community and devotion to excellence in the practice of law – guiding principles that have defined the firm for decades. The firm celebrates its centennial in 2025.
