Williams Parker Expands Capabilities with Addition of Construction Attorney Douglas E. Walker

February 2, 2021

Williams Parker is pleased to announce it has added attorney Douglas E. Walker, who brings to the firm over three decades of experience in the construction industry and focuses his practice on construction law and litigation. Walker was previously an associate with the law firm in the early 2000s and rejoins from an AmLaw100 firm in Portland, Oregon. Before that, he served as assistant in-house counsel for a Fortune500 construction company.

Walker works with clients in the construction, development, and public contracting industries on contract negotiations and settlements, regulatory compliance and investigations, risk management, and dispute avoidance. He has secured well over $100 million dollars for clients in damages recovered or avoided. Walker holds a JD, MS in civil engineering, and BS from the University of Florida. He is admitted to practice in Florida, California, Oregon, South Carolina, and Washington.

“Doug’s significant experience within the construction industry is a natural complement to our firm’s sophisticated commercial real estate and land use practices,” said Ric Gregoria, president of Williams Parker. “His arrival enhances our abilities to serve our many clients in these areas, and we are delighted to welcome him back to the firm.”

Williams Parker has experienced significant growth over the past year. In addition to Walker, the firm recently added associates Kimbrell J. Hines, who focuses on labor and employment, and George Parpas, who focuses on litigation. In addition, three law students from the firm’s 2020 Summer Associate Program will also join the firm as associates later this year, and several staff members have been added throughout the firm to support its growing areas.
