Williams Parker Moves Headquarters to Plaza Five Points as it Nears 100-Year Milestone

February 1, 2024

Sarasota’s largest law firm, Williams Parker, is pleased to announce the relocation of its headquarters to Plaza Five Points at 50 Central Avenue in downtown Sarasota. By moving from its 200 South Orange Avenue location to Plaza Five Points, Williams Parker is continuing the next step in its ongoing story of growth, beginning with its founding almost a century ago in 1925. The move is only the fourth in the firm’s long history. The new 35,000-square-foot headquarters occupies the entire eighth floor of the centrally located and iconic Plaza Five Points building.

“We will miss our brick building at 200 South Orange. While it was a terrific home for five decades, we needed new space to support our growth strategy and enhance our ability to serve our clients and the community,” says Williams Parker President Mike Wilson. “The new office reinforces our brand and culture and incorporates cutting-edge technology, sustainability, energy efficiency, and flexibility. The move has the added benefit of taking the firm back to its origins and historical roots.”

Five Points—the intersection of Main, Pineapple, and Central—has been the center of downtown Sarasota since the city’s founding. By relocating to Plaza Five Points, Williams Parker returned to the identical location of the firm’s first headquarters, the First Bank and Trust Building (later known as the Palmer Bank Building), which opened 100 years ago with Williams Parker as a charter and signature tenant for 37 years.

“After completion of a comprehensive, multi-site selection process, we selected Plaza Five Points as the new site for Williams Parker’s headquarters for many reasons, including the modern office design, amenities, iconic location in the center of downtown, and compelling views of Sarasota Bay.  We are all truly looking forward to the next chapter in Williams Parker’s history.”

The firm opened a second office location at the master-planned community and mixed-use development Waterside Place in Lakewood Ranch in July, 2023. The new Lakewood Ranch office address is 7500 Island Cove Terrace, Suite 200, Lakewood Ranch, FL, 34240.
