Williams Parker Partner Michael J. Wilson Appointed as Director At-Large of the Florida Bar Tax Section
Williams Parker is pleased to announce attorney, Michael J. Wilson has been appointed to serve as Director At-Large of the Florida Bar Tax Section for the 2022-2023 year, and will serve on the Directors’ Committee and the Executive Council of the Florida Bar Tax Section.
Wilson, a member of Williams Parker’s management committee and the firm’s President, practices tax, corporate, and business law handling sophisticated tax planning and tax controversy matters and advising clients on significant business transactions. He serves as outside general counsel to businesses of varying sizes in many different industries. He is certified as a tax specialist by the Florida Bar and handles federal, state, and international tax planning matters. Wilson represents clients during the tax audit process, before the Internal Revenue Service Appeals Office, before the Internal Revenue Service National Office in connection with requests for rulings and technical advice, before the Florida Department of Revenue in connection with audits, appeals, and ruling requests, and before the United States Tax Court and the Congressional Joint Committee on Taxation. He also advises clients on business sales and acquisitions, mergers, restructurings, joint ventures, private equity and venture capital investments, corporate finance and credit facilities, tax-exempt bond financings, business succession, corporate governance, and other significant business and commercial transactions.
