Wilson Elected to EDC Board

Williams Parker attorney Michael J. Wilson was recently elected to the board of the Sarasota County Economic Development Corporation (“EDC”). The EDC is the professional economic development entity for Sarasota County. It works to assist expansion of existing companies, attract and retain quality jobs, solicit new businesses compatible with the assets and values of Sarasota County, promote Sarasota County’s business image, and enhance Sarasota County’s overall quality of life.

Mr. Wilson practices primarily in the areas of federal and state and local taxation. He has experience handling a wide-range of tax planning matters, with particular focus on corporate, partnership, and real estate tax matters. He has represented clients during the tax audit process; before the Internal Revenue Service Appeals Office; before the Internal Revenue Service National Office in connection with requests for rulings and technical advice; and before the Florida Department of Revenue with respect to a variety of state tax matters.
