Permit Fee Relief in the Wake of Ian
Residential and commercial property building permit fees relating to storm damage repairs will be waived by the City of Sarasota through January 1, 2023. This is aimed at helping City of Sarasota residents’ recovery efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian.
You will receive a refund if you filed a permit on or after September 23, 2022. The permits and applications must reference hurricane damage specifically. As always, homeowners should ask their contractors to provide proof of license, insurance, and registration with the City of Sarasota.
